What is hand-knotting? The hand-knotted rugs are being manufactured according to Tibetan tradition. On the looms the pile thread is knotted in horizontal rows around the vertically stretched warp threads. The wool is hand-carded and hand-spun, resulting in a rug with natural and lively appearance. In the finishing phase the carpet is washed, which gives the wool a beautiful luster. After drying and stretching the carpet is sheared by hand.
